| Movement A quiet week to start off the month, in constast to the recent weeks of WRs and new champions. #7 Jean-Christophe Lacastaignerate has sent in his missing 60Hz records to have a full set of 32, giving him a proper ranking: he is 13th in 60Hz! He raced 9 PRs earlier in the week -- a mix of Myth and Titan times -- which were not quite as good as his recent God records, but maybe he hasn't spent as much time on them. What we do know is that he's 13th, one place ahead of fellow Frenchman, Olivier, and one place behind another fellow Frenchman, Kouider. Will he go for top-10? Will he go for French champion in both Hertz? I think yes. #9 Andrew Math added another god time to his portfolio and reduced his AF to under 10 pts, reducing the gap between him and his target, #8 Vince, to 1.3pts. But Andrew did make progress in 60Hz, where he passed Aron Langerak for 2nd place. It's a bit tight between No. 2 to No. 4, with Andrew, Aron and Hendrik's AFs being 4.2, 4.3 and 4.7. But Andrew's competition hasn't been active in some time, giving him breathing room. #71 Ian Gee, who has just reached Titan C level, passed 4 players (including me) to gain ground on #58 Arnaud Guepey overall. Meanwhile, Arnaud is focusing on 60Hz instead of overall and was the one trying to gain ground on Ian. They are currently 35th (Ian) and 46th (Arnaud) in 60Hz. Arnaud passed 3 players to reach No. 44 & 45, Scott and Paulo, who he should pass soon. #155 Alexis Moyen had a great week, scoring his first Hero A time amongst his 29 PRs this week. That's as many PRs as last week! On the ladder, the Frenchman's 39 pt cut moved him 33 positions ahead. One of the players he passed was #157 Flynn Hoppenbrouwers, who had a nice week himself by moving up 11 positions. Both players are poised to enter the top-150 very soon. Alexis's big cuts made him reach the Hero levels. #209 Alvaro Fababu is inching closer to the top-200, now 9 spots away. He's also approaching the top-150 in 60Hz, where he advanced 5 places to finish the week at No. 155. I think he will reach 150 before he reaches 200. A few other players were also active: #476 David Moorhouse moved up 11 places, #551 Joshua Mosumky moved up 12, and #576 Stefan Glosby moved up 9. New Records No new records. (Surprisingly.) New Players Welcome to... Adam Guo, USA (~797, Beginner A). Only 6 scores received from Adam, but they're very good. He might be good enough for top-150 if sends in a full set. |
