What's new?
Gummy Bears bouncing here and there and everywhere

Bye bye, Alex:
As you know, Alex will be away during the next few weeks, so Ivo (Ivootjes) and I (Alvaro) are going to write the news. Let's start with them.
Movement:
Like past week, first active player is #185 Jordan Jackson. His 9.4 pt cut in AF makes him climbed 7 positions. He scored 2 new Hero times to show his potential to keep progressing further. Not far behind, helped by his new 30 PRs, #192 Christian Wild made a huge 87 pt cut in AF in his first full week in the site. At the same time, he promote his rank to Expert A and he broke into top 200 overall and top 150 in 60 Hz. His RR times shows a great level of play, so Jordan must be alert.
#351 David Landry keeps his pace of regular PRs like in previous weeks, passing 7 players; women subchampion #352 Gosia Buza among them. Only a couple of spots behinds him, newcomer #353 Ashley O'Hara (known in MKW as Degausser) made a great 57 pt cut in AF and got a rank promotion to Advanced A.
#426 Agustin Berrios followed his routine of making many new PRs. They are 24 this time, and a 21pt AF cut. He narrowly missed a rank promotion -- only 1 PR will be needed to get Advanced B next week.
And closing the activity of this week, #592 Austin Gates sent us some new PRs to make also a 21pt AF cut, which brings him into top 600.
New records:
No new records this week.
New Players:
Welcome to...
Daniel Valenzuela, Chile (~#842, Beginner D). Marcos Sepulveda, Chile (~#845, Beginner D).
Maybe some friends of Agustin? They only miss records at Special Cup. |
A new Galaxy, Metroid and Zelda for the Wii in the works.

Movement
#192 Jordan Jackson's 21 pt cut in AF resulted in a nice jump of 26 places, taking JJ into the top-200. This was a small setback for #201 Alvaro Fababu, who dropped one place. Alvaro remains in the top-150 in 60Hz (he's No.149) but Jordan powered forward to No.130 and claimed the Expert A rank.
#222 Luke Henderson is in the same region. A small 4pt let him pass the likes of #223 Cameron Tangen and #226 Tuomas Dunkel. It's in 60Hz where he's getting closer to a milestone, since he's currently five places out of the top-150.
#358 David Landry sent in a few small PRs. Enough to stay ahead of #360 Soren Marx, he says. We'll have to wait for further developments because Soren hasn't reported yet this month.
#430 David Moorehouse reached Advance B level and moved up 7 places. But it's #447 Agustin Berrios close behind him who is grabbing the spotlight in the area: the Chilean raced 18 PRs for a very cool 55pt cut and 46 position gain. He's reporting new PRs almost every day. In 60Hz, David moved up 5 places to No.328 and Agustin moved up 34 to No.344.

Movement
The highest active player was Andrew Math. He narrowly missing the YC god standard and Marijn's 60Hz WR on that level by 0""1. Another point separates Andrew from #8 Vince.
#134 Alexis Moyen had 16 PRs to send. They included his first Titan times on WC, but Alexis isn't a specialist and has many courses where he can get a Titan time. This week's 14pt cut helped him gain 15 places. In ARR he reached the Hero C level.
#218 Jordan Jackson had his own 'first' new standard, getting a Hero time on BC. Like Alexis, Jordan is consistent across the board and has many low Experts that can turn into Heroes. He moved up 25 places and became Expert B, and also says he may have more time to play this month. We might see him go for the top-200 next week, perhaps. #200 Alvaro Fababu inched ever so closer, making 2 PRs to gain a spot. Nevertheless, both players reached a milestone in 60Hz by reaching the top-150: Alvaro is now 148th and Jordan is 149th! #359 Soren Marx excused his recent absence by saying he's been short on free time, but managed to submit the 28 'small' PRs that he had been collecting since April. A 25pt cut on the charts pushed his rank up passed #361 David Landry. David himself raced 4 PRs for the week to move up 6 places. The pair both joined the site at a similar time and are now as close as can be in the charts, with only 1 person between them overall and noone to seperate them in 60Hz (they're 267th and 268th). #437 David Moorhouse, the 'other' David, raced 5 PRs for an 11pt AF cut but is still 75 AF pts behind David L and Soren.
#470 Josh Mosumky says he's busy with work. He still managed 4 PRs and moved up 6 positions. Rising coming up quickly behind him is #493 Augustin Berrios. Augustin had a huge cut last week and maintained some momentum to cut another 46pts this week. Having just broken into the top-500 and getting a promition from Intermediate to Advanced this week, his run might still have long legs to carry him further.
